As a Youth Support Worker at the Roundhouse, I worked in the charity's youth programme for 11-30s, hidden beneath the main stage in fully fitted studios for theatre, dance, circus and music.
My role split between delivering workshops and pastoral support, setting clear ground rules and boundaries. We worked with schools, community centres, Pupil Referral Units and street festivals, giving young people a route in. Seeing that outreach open doors was pure gold.
