This November I'm heading to Ljubljana as a challenge mentor at Rog Creathon 2026, hosted at Center Rog — an 8,500 m² revitalised bicycle factory that's now the largest maker and applied-arts production hub in Europe.

Human-centred design has made modern life more comfortable, but it has also taught us to overlook the plants, pollinators and other beings that make our existence possible. My challenge asks a team of five young makers to explore care- and coexistence-based design — where humans exist within a broader network of relationships rather than at the centre of it.
The brief: transform RogLab, a shipping container in the park in front of Center Rog, into a multifunctional community space for gathering, exchange, rest, play and ecological care. We'll work from a simple care cycle — Take · Act · Leave a Mark · Connect — thinking about reciprocity, who tends the space after we leave, and how future generations can keep reinterpreting it. Materials are wood, mixed FabLab fabrication, found objects and textiles.
Over a 48-hour sprint, five teams take on five challenges under the shared theme More Than Us, with full access to nine production labs. Prototypes are presented to a jury and shown at the Rog Expo exhibition (25 November 2026 – 8 February 2027).
