I supported the practical side of Christina Schultz's project Nomads, transients and wanderers - a suitcase built as a cabinet of curiosities holding significant objects for Metzineres, a cooperative in El Raval, Barcelona that provides sheltered environments for womxn who use drugs and survive multiple situations of vulnerability and violence.
My role was the digital fabrication and transformation of the suitcase in wood, building museum-style compartments. Technically it was a real challenge with many types of joinery, and I am happy with the result.
The finished piece was launched at the International AIDS Conference in Munich.
